Cheerful volunteers with the Lake Lanier Association and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful will pitch in on Saturday, September 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m to pitch trash out of the lake during the 2015 Lake Lanier Shore Sweep.

The Gwinnett County helpers of the 2015 Lake Lanier Shore Sweep will gather at Gwinnett Park at 1500 Buford Dam Road in Buford.

Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Executive Director Connie Wiggins says, “We applaud Lake Lanier Association for their ongoing efforts and are honored to serve alongside them.  In celebration of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful’s 35th birthday and the commemoration of the Shore Sweep’s 27th year, we would really love to have the largest response from volunteers in the event’s history.”

Volunteers can go to Gwinnett Park for trash bags and their litter pickup instructions.  Turn in at least one full bag of trash and you’ll get a T-shirt to wear with pride.

For safety reasons, volunteers must be 10 or older.  Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  Everyone must wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get wet and dirty. Gloves, trash bags, water and snacks will be provided.
