About Lake Lanier
Lake Lanier is the largest lake in Georgia, with over 700 miles of shoreline and 38,000 acres of water, making it the perfect destination for those that love the water. The lake was created in 1956 when the Buford Dam turned the Chattahoochee and Chestatee rivers into a massive body of water. Lake Lanier not only supplies water and protects the surrounding areas. It also provides recreational activities that tourists and locals can enjoy.
We are proud to call Lake Lanier home with its beautiful scenery and fun activities throughout the area. Sharing all there is to see and do at Lake Lanier is something that we are passionate about because we genuinely love this place.
