Forsyth County Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor is happy to announce the 2016 opening of one of Lake Lanier’s special jewels: Shady Grove Campground.
Campsites can be reserved up to 30 days in advance.
“We are very excited to welcome campers to the campground and officially begin the 2016 camping season,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor. “This is a beautiful destination that campers enjoy every year.”
You’ll find a beach and a swim area; a boat ramp with a handy courtesy dock; group campsites with picnic shelters and playgrounds; tent camping areas with water; and 30-amp and 50-amp power hookups for RVs.
You may also make reservations at Shady Grove Campground, located at 7800 Allyn Lane Memorial Way (formerly 7800 Shadburn Ferry Road) in Cumming, GA, on the shores of Lake Lanier. For more information call the campground visitor center at 770-205-6850.
