The 28th Annual John Hunter Regatta at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2014.

The Georgia Tech Crew and Saint Andrew Rowing Club invite you to attend.

This top-notch event is open to all college, scholastic and youth rowing teams.  The regatta will be held on the 2000-meter course where the 1996 Olympic races were held, on a buoyed course with starting platforms, enclosed finish tower and stadium seating for 3,000 fans.

The “Hunter” is named to honor John Hunter — a benefactor to the Georgia Tech and Saint Andrew rowing clubs.  Mr. Hunter had the vision to help these programs grow from a few dedicated rowers to the teams they are today.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the regatta.  The official John Hunter Regatta T-shirt will be available on the day of the regatta.

We expect perfect springtime weather for this delightful sporting event on the lovely shores of Lake Lanier.

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the regatta or anywhere on the venue grounds and are strictly forbidden at the Clarks Bridge Park recreation area.  Hall County and the City of Gainesville police departments vigorously enforce this law.
