Right to Hike, Inc. was founded after the violent death of Meredith Hope Emerson on the Appalachian Trail near Georgia’s Blood Mountain in January of 2008.
The work done by Right to Hike (RTH) volunteers goes far beyond remembering a beloved friend, coworker and daughter. Right to Hike is making trails safer for individuals no matter where they choose to travel — if only because RTH makes individuals and small groups more aware of their surroundings.
To raise funds to purchase emergency call stations, among other RTH goals, you are invited to take part in the Second Annual Right to Hike Spring Golf Classic on Monday, March 25th, at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, GA — one of the PGA TOUR’s acclaimed TPC Network of premier clubs.
Situated on 1,200 acres of breathtaking Georgia countryside, TPC Sugarloaf offers 27 holes of magnificent golf designed by Greg Norman. The par-72, 7,259-yard championship golf course is comprised of nine holes known as “The Stables and nine holes they call “The Meadows.” TPC Sugarloaf earned a place on Golf Digest’s list of the “Best New Private Clubs in the U.S.” when it opened in 1997.
Play golf where the masters play. This year, RTH has an added bonus: a special Clinic & Exhibition by Stewart Cink. Cink, who lives in Georgia, won the 2009 Open Championship — in spite of attending Georgia Tech, instead of the great University of Georgia. Had Cink graduated from UGA we would all be saying, “Tiger who?”

- Clinic & Exhibition by Stewart Cink – 10:00 am
- Shotgun (Scramble) Start – 11:00 am
- Awards/Dinner – 4:00 pm
