On Saturday, February 6th 2016 the Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club hopes you’ll pay them for the pleasure of jumping into the lake during their 19th Annual Lake Lanier Polar Bear Plunge.
The original date for the Polar Bear Plunge was New Year’s Day; however, the event was washed out.
Awards will be given for Best Costume, Best Splash, Best Jump, Oldest Polar Bear, Youngest Polar Bear and Funniest Chicken (a person not jumping but in costume)! Â All ages are invited to take a plunge; kids under 12 must wear a life jacket (available at no charge).
Get twice the frosty fun and take TWOÂ plunges!
Bowls of chili, tasty desserts and hot drinks will help you thaw out afterward.

When:Â Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Noon. Â Check-In/Registration Opens 10:45 AM.
Where:Â Â The boat docks behind the Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club, at 3105 Clarks Bridge Road, Gainesville.

Bring:Â A towel to dry off, a change of clothes, a great attitude and a witness to take your picture.
