Seriously.  I’ll bet your life is so boring that you cannot even remember the last time you imagined seeing 16,000 rubber ducks floating in Lake Lanier.

You poor little bunny rabbit.  You need a break, don’t you.

Well, you can forget about the break … but … you can realize your dream to see humongous flocks of rubber ducks at the lake.  It’s for a good cause too!

Our friends at The Lake Lanier Association will be one of the many exhibitors at the 16th Annual Rubber Duck Derby.  This event is a fundraiser to benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County.

There is no charge to watch this event, but you can purchase ducks at the event if you love kids, Lake Lanier, having fun with your neighbors and you don’t want a house to fall on you the next time there are tornadoes in the area.

Adopt a duck and help The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County help a child!

Duck Lovers should head to Clarks Bridge Park (3105 Clarks Bridge Road in Gainesville) on Saturday, May 17, 2014, in time for Duck Fest, beginning at 10 AM.  Duck Fest is a ton of fun with arts, crafts, jewelry, pottery, bounce houses, carnival games, face painting, live entertainment, great food, health screenings and much more!

The Rubber Duck race starts at 3 PM.  You can adopt 25 ducks for a measly $100.00 donation.  Each duck is numbered.  All the ducks are dunked into the lake at 3 PM.  The first one to cross the finish line a tenth of a mile downstream is the winner!  The race ends 30-minutes after the first lucky duck wins.  Zillions (almost) of prizes will be awarded.  If “your” lucky duck  wins, you get a prize!

If you don’t have kids of your own, borrow a few from your neighbors and take them to the Rubber Duck Derby.
