For years the Olympic venue on Lake Lanier has held a monopoly on getting crazy brave people to jump into Lanier during the winter to raise money for a good cause.
In the last couple of years a second such event had been up and running.
The Polar Plunge is held at Lake Lanier Islands and raises money for the Special Olympics.
This year’s event is on Saturday, February 18.
