Debra Sparks Charnote — Legislative Assistant to Senator Jeff Mullis and Senator Renee Unterman — invites you to the Lake Lanier Legislative Caucus Public Hearings that will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012.
The most recent forum took place at City Hall in Cumming on Monday, December 3, 2012.
The goals of the meetings are to encourage public participation and to consider new legislation to make Lake Lanier safer for the millions of people who visit annually.
Primary concerns are:
- the legal limits for boating under the influence
- age requirements for wearing life preservers
- safety classes for boat operators
- mandating liability insurance for boats
Two separate but similar meetings will be held on Saturday, December 15th. You are welcome to attend one or both.
