Trout Unlimited, Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and the National Park Service are organizing hundreds of volunteers to Sweep the Hooch on Saturday, April 9, 2016.

In just one day, kind folks will Sweep the Hooch and remove tons of junk left in the Chattahoochee River by others.

A limited number of volunteers will clean up 27 different sites, including 18 trail clean-ups, sweeping six wading sites and paddling 13 river segments.  Volunteers are needed as Walkers, Waders and Paddlers for river and trail clean-up.

In 2014, 580 volunteers removed 14,500 pounds of river refuse, with 1000 pounds of trash recycled.

If you register early enough, you might be able to choose your favorite park from the list below and join your friends for a day of conservation and recreation.
