Morgan House and his team at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue (LLOV) hosted the 20th Anniversary Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
While area politicians, committees and local leaders fussed about using $300,000 from the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) to improve access for the handicapped and restrooms at the site’s timing tower, the facilities were enjoyed enormously by visitors from across America … and beyond.

Planning is already underway for the 21st Annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in Atlanta that will be celebrated once again at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
Hundreds of competitors and thousands of spectators gathered for the cultural festivities, the unusual food and the competition of everyday athletes rowing dragon boats on Lake Lanier.

Although some of the amateurs lacked a bit of the gracefulness of more skilled competitors, everyone had a good time, even if they were whacked by errant paddles.
