Labor Day 2015 was sunny and warm with storms on the horizon.  Perfect for watching the Gwinnett Braves play baseball at Coolray Field, near the Mall of Georgia.

For the 77th time this season, the G-Braves won the game.  Their score of 6-2 over the Charlotte Knights was the almost perfect way to end the regular season.  (Perfect required going to the playoffs.)

I once took a fancy lady to a pro hockey game.  We sat behind the visitor’s penalty box, where violent maniacs screamed obscenities and threw cups of beer at them.  It wasn’t a game, it was war.

Gwinnett Braves games are the opposite.

They’re more like family picnics.  It’s terrific fun, even if you don’t know a ball from a balk or why the timers blink between pitches.

It’s all about rooting and cheering for the home team.

Surprise!  Gwinnett Braves baseball isn’t boring.

Pregnant ladies got upgraded seats (on Labor Day) and free birthday parties for any kids born during the game.

Take yourself (and a kid) to the ballgame next year.
