Emergency Warning Siren Test 11-20

Warning sirens are tested quarterly in Hall County.
Warning sirens are tested quarterly in Hall County.

Every morning at 10 AM the Hall County Warning System sirens are tested — silently — to ensure they’ll work properly in an emergency.

Four times a year — at 10 AM on the third Wednesday of February, May, August and November — they let the sirens wail, just to be sure they’re loud enough to get your attention if there’s an emergency.

To avoid confusion, the sirens will not be tested if there is stormy weather or a severe weather watch or warning in Hall County.

If you hear the sirens activated at any other time, an actual warning has been issued.

The mission of Hall County Emergency Management is to provide a comprehensive and aggressive all-hazards approach to homeland security and disaster initiatives, mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery and special events.

The purpose of our mission is to protect life and property and to prevent and/or reduce the negative impact of natural and man-made events in Hall County.

Even before the unthinkable happens, emergency management works to reduce the impact of a disaster and plan the response in order to save lives and make Hall County a safer place to live.
