Our pal, Georgia Tourism Division’s Cheryl Smith, knows more about North Georgia than squirrels know about nuts.

In spite of riding a Harley instead of a Kawasaki and mentioning a certain football team in South Carolina in a press release, we have decided to share her detailed information on where you can have fun in North Georgia this autumn.

It’s fall and the weather is turning cooler.  That means it’s time for … Pumpkins!

And what goes hand in hand with pumpkins?  Yes, you know that one too … corn mazes!

Fall is a family affair with a trip to the mountains to pick out that perfect pumpkin and wander through your favorite corn mazes. Spend the day maneuvering through these agricultural delights, then try your skill at Paint Ball Chicken Shoot Out, Pumpkin Launching, Corn Hole Games, Shoot the Corn Cannon, Duck Races, Apple Cannons and a Hay bale Jump,

Other activities include:

  • Goat Walks
  • Hayrides
  • Bonfires
  • Pumpkin Trains
  • Farm Slides
  • Farm Tours
  • Pony Rides and
  • Petting Zoos.

Don’t forget to pick up a bushel of apples along with your pumpkins and squashes and gourds! You might even do a little shopping and get your Christmas gift buying crossed of your holiday list of things to do.

Since each corn maze is different with different activities and attractions, plan on visiting several. So, if you’ve been once or twice, come back and visit some that you haven’t been to!  And if you not been to any before, head north this fall and create a family tradition!
