Don Carter Cabin 2Authorities tell lakelanier.com there will be an official celebration at some point.  If we hear any news, we will let you know.

Don Carter State Park is lovely and spacious.

The beach is spectacular; the fishing pier is perfect for fishing with kids; and the boat ramps, picnic areas and playgrounds will create memories for Georgians and other folks for generations.

The delightful two-bedroom cabins have lake views, rocking chair porches and are more like rental homes than “cabins.”

Simply bring food and your personal items to enjoy a vacation at Georgia’s newest state park.
