After a scary storm in late January, Lake Lanier is rising up!

Torrential rain from Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in our region — which spawned a deadly tornado in Adairsville, 60 miles northwest of Atlanta — is flowing into Lake Lanier under sunny skies.

Full pool during winter months is 1070′.  We began the year at 1058′.  Today, February 1st, we were at 1063.34′ at 6 AM.  That gain of 5.34′ puts us 6.66′ below full pool.

We’re thankful for the rain and we’re praying for more.
