Forget football — are you ready for some feasting?
You’re invited to join the Chattahoochee Cannibals (relax … it’s an “oldies” band) and other hungry folks for the 14th Annual Taste of Gainesville shindig.
The Lake Lanier Rowing Club hosts this fabulous event to raise money to maintain the Olympic Legacy of the 1996 Olympic Rowing Venue. (Whatever. I’m in it for the food. I don’t care if they use the money to protect snail darters downstream.)
You couldn’t pick a prettier spot for munching on delightful delicacies from 30 of the area’s best bistros: upon the banks of the majestic Chattahoochee River.
If you’re on a diet, come anyway. Who knows? You might find your soul mate who only attended thinking you’d be there.
The party begins at 6 PM at Olympic Plaza at Clark’s Bridge Park — just look for the Timing Tower — on Saturday, September 22, 2012.
Please save some food for me. Thanks.
