The Mystery of the Missing Red Canoe

lakelanier.com welcomes contributions from local authors.  This story, however, is a bit less heart-warming than others.  The reason is the serenity and peacefulness of Lake Lanier was robbed from Tricia Slay as she explored one of the magnificent islands planted in our lake.

Sad to say, but Tricia’s canoe went missing … leaving her and her companion stuck on an islet as the sun set.  (Wait a minute.  That doesn’t sound too bad — except for the missing canoe.  But, I digress.  Sorry.)

I don’t want to spoil the story, but here’s to the heroes of the Forsyth County Fire Department!

We invite you to read Tricia’s blog and to be on the lookout for the creep who copped the canoe.
