No joke! As of April Fool’s Day 2018, you’ll need a credit card or debit card to park at some recreation areas on Lake Lanier because several USACE Day-Use parks will no longer accept cash.
There are roughly 60 parks on Lake Lanier that are maintained by a variety of agencies. We’re thankful for USACE’s Nick Baggett for sorting out the dates of operation for the 2018 season.
