Dahlonega’s Gold Rush Days — October 20th & 21st

Gold Rush Days returns to Dahlonega the third full weekend in October each year.  This year, Gold Rush is October 20th & 21st.

Fall colors are peaking nearby … so the journey will be as delightful as the destination.

I don’t want to tell you how many people will fill Dahlonega’s square and streets — which will be closed to traffic — because I don’t want you to think there won’t be room for you and your friends.  There will be plenty of room for you … and food, drinks and cool stuff for sale from 300 vendors.

Gold Rush Days has been voted one of the Top 20 Events in the southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society.

While you’re there, enjoy these events and more:

  • a parade
  • children’s activities
  • a fashion show
  • gold panning contest
  • wheelbarrow race
  • King and Queen Coronation
  • hog calling
  • buck dancing contest
  • gospel singing and other live entertainment
  • wrist wrestling
  • and delicious food!
