Yes, it’s time to watch men toss cabers at the 40th Annual Stone Mountain Highland Games!
Even if you’ve never heard the music of the Whistlebinkies or given your lassie a claddagh ring, you cannot help but enjoy every moment at these highland games.
Bagpipes, men in kilts, Celtic dancers, beautiful harpers, pipe & drum competitions, great food (and some that … shall we say … requires, ummm … an adventurous spirit), stone throwing and the ever-popular hammer throwing — and that’s only the tip of the shamrock of the fun in store.
What’s not to like?
Cancel all your suddenly unworthy plans and take a cross-cultural trip to this (friendly) clan gathering. If you visit the vendors, you might be as fortunate as I was one year when I purchased my very own (sniff, shiff) Bodhrán tipper! (Currently on display in my dining room.)
