The Gainesville Arts Council Summer MusicFest 2019

If you tire of the magnificence of Lake Lanier, take a break at an outdoor concert at the Gainesville Arts Council Summer MusicFest 2019. Don’t let a wet weather forecast dampen your plans. The fun will be moved inside or postponed if it rains on these musical parades.

It’s hard to believe that there can be more to summer life than hanging out on Lake Lanier. Who knows? You might be the exception to the rule. Maybe all you need is swimming, fishing, lakeside picnics, walking along the shore, boating, more fishing, watching sunsets and just relaxing. For the rest of us, the Gainesville Arts Council Summer MusicFest 2019 is a welcome diversion.

Come wave a flag to celebrate Independence Day at the Arts Center on Wednesday evening, July 3rd for a patriotic pops concert with Northwinds Symphonic Band — local folks who will make us all proud to be Americans!

The Northwinds Symphonic Band was organized in 1984 as a performance outlet for adult musicians, primarily music educators, in the North Georgia area. Currently led by conductor Craig Cantrell, patriotic selections honor our country and the people dedicated to preserving our freedom.
