5th Annual Chattahoochee Mountain Music Schedule

It’s hard to say how big the crowds will be at Don Carter State Park’s 5th Annual Chattahoochee Mountain Music Festival on Saturday, October 20, 2018.  You’ll want to be there too, once you see the schedule of performers.

The Friends of Don Carter State Park invest blood, sweat and tears into fixing up and promoting the only Georgia State Park on Lake Lanier.  For free.  The park is still a hidden gem, unknown to the masses of boaters, campers and fisherpeople.

Personally, I like it just the way it is — a 1,316 acre private park along the Chattahoochee River, north of Lake Lanier Olympic Park.  Who wants to spoil that by inviting strangers to visit?

Yup.  The Friends of Don Carter State Park.  They’ve organized another afternoon of heart-warming, toe-tapping music that they describe as:

Bluegrass, blues and mountain music [with] local and talented artisans showcasing and selling their wares, and delicious BBQ with the fixings!

Mountain Music Festival Schedule

  • 12:00 – 2:00:  Georgia Rose
  • 2:00 – 4:00:  Dusty Roads
  • 4:00 – 5:00:  Brandon Reeves
  • 5:00 – 6:00:  Honeywood

The 5th Annual Chattahoochee Mountain Music Festival is bound to help the park be discovered by new folks — maybe even people from Alabama or South Carolina!

Bring your walking shoes and your pets and come enjoy a great day at Don Carter State Park before it’s so busy you can’t swing a banjo without whacking a stranger.

What else can you do there?  Just about anything that’s legal and non-alcoholic.
