Rubber Duck Derby Celebrates Cindo de MayoThe 19th Annual Rubber Duck Derby will take place Friday, May 5, 2017 at 5:30pm.  As you probably know, May 5th is Cinco de Mayo, so why not celebrate with a Rubber Duck Derby and Duck Fest?

About the Rubber Duck Derby

The Rubber Duck Derby is a charity event that benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hall County.  This year, 20,000 cute rubber ducks donned in sunglasses will be dropped into Lake Lanier at the Lake Lanier Olympic Center for a race to the finish line.  People donate from $5 to adopt a single duck up to $100 for a pack of 25.  The lucky ducks (a.k.a. winners) take home great prizes. Proceeds raised from the Derby benefit over 5,600 local kids through after school activities, sports and summer programs.

About Duck Fest

This year, to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, participants are invited to stay for the 1st ever Duck Fest.  Debuting this year, Duck Fest will take place from 6 – 10pm across the street at Lake Lanier Olympic Park.  There’ll be food trucks, live music, including the Fly Betty Band, and cold beverages served by Tap It!  Admission to Duck Fest costs $5.
