In September, the Mobile District of the U.S. Corps of Engineers (USACE) released the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) and Water Control Manual (WCM) for the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin (ACF) for public review and comment.
The USACE held the first of five public open houses on Monday, October 26th in Gainesville.
We met with the USACE’s highest ranking officials who were there to answer questions and listen to concerned citizens.

Commander and District Engineer Colonel Jon J. Chytka was at the Open House. He is a delightful and knowledgeable gentleman who is also a US Army Ranger, so you know he is honorable.
If you have any concerns or questions, we urge you to attend an open house.
A list of Water Control Manual Open House dates and locations is below.
We are thankful that Lake Lanier’s most prominent citizens were on hand to meet with the public.
