Debra Sparks Charnote, legislative assistant to Senator Jeff Mullis and Senator Renee Unterman, announced the details of the next Lake Lanier Legislative Caucus meeting.  This is open to the public and you are invited.

The Lake Lanier Caucus Meeting will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 3 PM at the Cumming City Hall, located at 100 Main Street in Cumming, GA, zip code 30040.  You may call city hall at 770-781-2010.

The goals of the caucus were discussed at their previous meetings.  Here are a few primary concerns:

•  potentially licensing boaters

•  training for those who rent personal watercraft

•  requiring all passengers under 13 years of age to wear a flotation device in moving vessels

•  applying similar penalties for BUI as for drivers found guilty of DUI

and other important matters that might make Lake Lanier safer for all who enjoy its waters.
