Racing at Road Atlanta

Road Atlanta, voted one of America’s Best Road Courses by Car and Driver, isn’t exactly ON Lake Lanier, but it’s one of our favorite neighbors.

We’re always amazed at the number of local folks who have not been to the track.  Even if you’ve never taken your motorcycle up to 140 mph or raced a go-kart a few inches off the ground over 100 mph, there’s something for everyone at Road Atlanta.  People watching, especially.

You can see some of the world’s fastest SCCA sports cars, AMA motorcycles, classic Ferraris, Porches and Corvettes, and the year’s big race: The Petit LeMans, right here at home.

Road Atlanta also hosts the Superbike Showdown, the Skip Barber Racing School and the Saab Aero Academy.

The facility is utilized for a wide variety of events, including racing and driving schools, corporate programs and testing for motorsports teams.  Yes, you read that right: racing schools!  How cool is that?

Road Atlanta is the most fun you can have on dry ground.
