We regret to inform you that the body found behind the Lake Lanier Club Apartments on Dawsonville Highway Friday evening has been identified as Hannah Truelove, 16.
Miss Truelove was a student at Gainesville High School.
The cause of death has not been determined, but police label it as suspicious.
Miss Truelove was reported as missing on Thursday morning, August 23rd.
Channel 2 Action News in Atlanta broke the news about the young girl’s Twitter post (@HannahTruelove) on August 18, 2012 where she wrote: “So scared right now :/” — although it is unclear if it has any bearing on her death.
The Gainesville Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
