Search for Griffin Prince Continues on Lake Lanier

Melissa Cummings — Communications and Outreach Specialist with Georgia’s DNR, Wildlife Resources Division — confirmed with lakelanier.com at 2 PM on Friday, June 22nd, that the search for the body of Griffin Prince will continue this weekend on Lake Lanier.

Griffin has been missing and is presumed drowned since the boat wreck on Monday, June 18th that took the life of his younger brother, Jake.

According to Melissa Cummings, the DNR “will remain on scene throughout the weekend with the side-scan sonar and patrol boats doing surface checks.  If our sonar identifies a positive target, dive teams will come in to assist.”

If you are on Lake Lanier, please be especially respectful of the search efforts near Buford Dam.

Our hearts, condolences and prayers go out to the Prince family in this time of calamity.
