The Beach Bash at Don Carter State Park ~ 5-26-18

School’s out!  Summer vacation is in.  Start it right at the Beach Bash at Don Carter State Park on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Don Carter State Park is a hidden hideaway on the Chattahoochee River, just upstream from the Lake Lanier Olympic Park on Clarks Bridge Road (Route 283) in Gainesville.

If you haven’t found it yet, head to the Beach Bash on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Here’s your official invitation from Don Carter State Park

School’s out, scream and shout!  We are so excited that summer is finally here, and we want to share this excitement with you.  Join our staff for summertime fun on our beach.  We will be having paddle board races, sand castle competitions, games and more.

Can you win the sand sculpture contest at the Beach Bash?

Yup.  A sand castle competition.

For parents who REALLY love their kids, not those who merely buy them cars and priceless cell phones to keep in touch when the kids travel in Europe alone.

Here’s a hint: Use a mixture of 99% sand and 1% water.  Spritzing your masterpiece with a mist of water from a spritzer thingy will help.

Nobody expects average people to take regular SAND to create something only the best parents could make.  No pressure.  None at all.

Not a Sand Person?  That’s fine.  The park has more than 1,300 acres of forests, paths and playgrounds to explore.  Walk, paddle around, fish, read a book!  Outside!  You might like it!

The best time to visit?  For the Beach Bash!
