Boating Clubs on Lake Lanier

Lake Lanier Sailing Club
Lake Lanier Sailing Club is one of the fine boating clubs on Lake Lanier.

There are at least a half-dozen boating clubs on Lake Lanier, as of mid-July 2014.

If you like to be on the water, you’ll find lots of people who share your love of sailing, paddling, rowing, beaching, puttering or blasting around our Pond of Pulchritude.

“But <sniff, sniff> I don’t own a boat!”  Pffft.  Not a problem.  Seriously.  Some of these boating clubs on Lake Lanier are filled with folks who have nothing more to float than an occasional check.

If you’re a good swimmer and you know your way around a sailboat, there are skippers who would love to have an extra hand or two aboard.  My guess is there’s always room for anyone who brings chips and beverages … especially if they’re “easy on the eyes.”

Take a look at the links to the boating clubs on Lake Lanier.  Practice saying, “Aye, aye, Captain!”  Stow your anchor and set your course for Lake Lanier, me hearties!
