Road Atlanta is world famous, nationally renowned and a virtual secret in North Georgia.
It seems that folks come from everywhere but close to home to watch just about anything on wheels race around the 2.54-mile road course that’s officially in Braselton, GA, just a bit east of Lake Lanier.
I haven’t seen go-karts there in a long time, but for motorcycle racing, Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) races, watching fabulous bazillion-dollar antique racecars in the Mitty Challenge and the big-league Petit Le Mans, there’s nowhere on the planet that’s better than our very own Road Atlanta for exciting racing.
Kids get in free with paying adults.
