Gainesville’s Square will be filled with chickens on Saturday, April 27th to celebrate the 2013 Spring Chicken Festival!
The fun gets underway at 10:30 with the Chicken City Parade, followed by the Cook-off and live entertainment until 4 or so.
The parade will include floats, vintage cars and is sure to have some interesting chicken decorations.
Participants are encouraged to incorporate recycling when possible. The parade route will include the Gainesville Square.

New to the festival is Re-Hatched an up-cycled/recycled art/craft market.
There will be artists featuring creations made from recycled or repurposed materials.
The Kid’s Zone is back and better than ever.
If you are interested in participating in the parade, art market or cook-off, please contact Regina Mansfield at 770-297-1141.
The 9th Annual Spring Chicken Festival Chicken Cook-Off will strut its stuff in two divisions: Professional and Backyard Bar-B-Q.
The Grand Champion will receive $700 and proudly possess the coveted Chicken City Cup for one year.

This annual fundraising event is organized by Keep Hall Beautiful.
We all had a wonderful time last year.
For a few dollars we sampled samples, then we sampled more samples.
Then, we voted for the best tasting samples.
Tuff Dawg Grillers won First Place.
The kind folks at Pull My Pork came in third.
Last, but not least, our friends at Lazy Bear BBQ took Second Place.

Runners will enjoy the Spring Chicken 5K, sponsored by the Lanier Running Club. Click Here for Details
