Lake Lanier Rowing Club Regattas — March 24th & 25th

Lake Lanier Rowing Venue Timing Tower

In 1996, the Olympic Games came to Hall County, GA.  We were ready to host the world’s best rowers at the Olympic Rowing Venue at Clark’s Bridge Park on the shores of the Chattahoochee River.

The Lake Lanier Rowing Club (LLRC) is still ready to host the world’s best rowers — many of them home-grown here on Lake Lanier.

This Saturday, March 24th, the John Hunter Regatta will be held at the rowing venue, starting at 8 AM.  Juniors (high-school aged rowers) and collegiate clubs will race one another in 2,000 meter races.

Sunday, LLRC sponsors the Lanier Sprints, races for Masters and Juniors.

LLRC is a community-based rowing club “committed to fulfilling the Olympic legacy by hosting events and offering programs and classes for youth and adults of Northeast Georgia.”

You’re invited to attend and get insanely excited as the boats cross the finish line.
