Thompson Bridge Park is a little used gem on Lake Lanier. I’ve never seen it crowded, probably because the boat ramp is narrow and quickly goes dry as lake levels fall.
However the park has a great setting and, even with the lake only down 5 feet, you can still walk a long way out into the lake across to islands.
