The Old Federal Park Day-Use area is an exceptional spot for a good time, but you can’t camp there. For spending a restful night, an exhilarating weekend or a relaxing vacation, head around the corner to Old Federal Park Campground.
Located in the vicinity of Flowery Branch and Gainesville, you will have a hundred choices for dinner or shopping … if you can break away from the joy of your campsite for an hour or two.
Lake Lanier’s blue waters will remind you of Lake Tahoe. Its cozy coves are warmer and more inviting than the Thousand Islands. The striper fishing is legendary. Yes, even I have caught a few!
Once you experience the fabulous weather, friendly people and Southern hospitality, you’ll quickly understand why campers look forward to spending time at Old Federal.
Campers can swim at the beach, fish from shore or launch a boat for a day on the water. You can do more or less, as long as you have fun.
