You know it’s going to be a good day for Lake Lanier when Bill Maine and Joel Williams on WDUN in Gainesville say heavy rain is in the forecast.
That’s been the case several days this week.
Better yet … the weather will be sunny and in the mid-50s for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Who cares if it rains during the week if we get a sunny weekend!
During winter months “full pool” for Lake Lanier is 1070 feet.
At 6 PM on Thursday, January 17, 2013, the lake’s level was 1060.6 feet above sea level. That’s up by 2.6 feet since the first of the year (January 1, 2013: 1058′).
A month ago, Lake Lanier was four feet lower. Look on the bright side! At that rate, Lake Lanier will be up another 44 feet by the end of the year!
