Gainesville’s Art in the Square Festival returns on Saturday and Sunday, September 15th & 16th, for the ninth consecutive year of majestic artwork and sensational music.
This is a juried art show, which means you cannot sell your child’s fingerpainting … unless the work is chosen to be in the show. This is not about being snooty. It’s all about having the best local and regional art on display in one place.
Yes, these generous artists will allow you to trade your filthy lucre for unique creations that might one day be worth millions of dollars! (Clean lucre will also be accepted.)
The fun begins at 10 AM on Saturday, September 15 and at 11 AM on Sunday. Everything wraps up each night around 5 PM.
[Pssst, guys! Don’t miss this. While your significant other is learning about “raku” and “plein air painting” just say, “Golly, Sugar Plum, all this artwork is making me hungry!” Then, enjoy the delicious food, live music and — hello! — belly dancing.]
The weather is going to be perfect.
Come join the fun at Art (music, food, dancing) in the Square!
