Yet again we report a death at Lake Lanier.
Police in Gainesville were called to the Lake Lanier Club Apartments on Dawsonville Highway Friday evening around 7:30 PM due to the report of a body found on the shore of Lake Lanier behind the apartment complex.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and have released very few details, including any clues regarding the identity of the victim.
A 16-year-old girl, Hannah Truelove, was reported missing from the same area on Thursday morning. Although it might be logical to presume that the body found was Miss Truelove’s, we are waiting for official confirmation.
Lake Lanier has yet to release the body of Jeffrey Nause, presumed drowned after diving into the lake more than a week ago near Lake Lanier Islands.
