The Lake Lanier Olympic Venue will host the 18th Annual Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 7 AM until 5 PM.

Come out for a fun and exciting time watching the fascinating boats paddled frantically by teams who represent local businesses and charitable causes.  The  Hong Kong Dragon Boat races are also interesting cultural events.

This year will mark the 18th consecutive Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival.  New competitors and spectators take part every year in the biggest Hong Kong cultural event to take place in Georgia.

The Dragon Boat Festival draws out more than 8,000 spectators and competitors for events in the 200, 500, 2000 meter categories.  There will be live streaming of the event.

Parking for this event is quite limited and costs $10 per car.  You may also park offsite at nearby lots at the Bible Baptist Church, HALLCO Federal Credit Union and at Riverbend Elementary School.  Shuttles from those locations to the races are available for just $2 per person.

Come for a race or two, or spend the entire day at the beautiful Olympic Rowing Venue at Clarks Bridge Park at the north end of Lake Lanier.
