No More Mayfield Dairy Tours in Braselton

Mayfield Dairy in Braselton has been a favorite place to visit for tourists, home school groups, public schools and moms with a few hours to spare.  Sadly, in July they announced they would no longer conduct Mayfield Dairy Tours in Braselton.

The announcement was made on Mayfield Dairy’s Facebook page:

We regret to inform you that our Braselton Visitors Center will be closing indefinitely on August 31, 2018.  We have enjoyed serving the community and so many people from all over!

You can still stop in and get ice cream through August 31st.  We also have 40% off of all items in our gift shop.  Come see us!

There are no tours being offered.

We have all enjoyed our time learning about all that goes into the work performed at Mayfield Daily.  The tour was even better than the description of seeing “state-of-the-art milk production systems and see how our famous yellow jugs are made.

The best was always at the end: “generous portions” of creamy ice cream, as fresh as can be.

Followed, of course, by sitting for a spell in the cozy rocking chairs … while the sugared-up kids ran amok.

Thank you, Mayfield Dairy.  You’ve been a wonderful neighbor.

We will surely miss you.
