In the off season, training at the Lake Lanier Rowing Club does not rest. The club has two great opportunities to have some fun rowing this winter. No experience is necessary.
Lake Lanier Rowing Club Juniors Winter Workouts
- Dates: Nov 27 – Feb 23
- Time: Afterschool from 4:30pm – 6:45pm, M – F
- Ages: Students in grades 9 – 12, no experience necessary
- Cost: $75 per athlete for the season
Come one, come all to work on personal fitness goals while having fun and making friends.
The focus of these junior trainings is on physical fitness and conditioning through the winter months.
Workouts depend on weather conditions and will include indoor and outdoor training. While indoors, you’ll use the ergs and do circuit training.

Indoor Rowing Class for Adults
- Dates: Nov 28 – Feb 22
- Time: 6:30pm-8pm, Tu & Thur
- Ages: Adults of any experience or fitness level
- Cost: free for LLRC members; $100 for non-members
The class starts on Nov 28 and runs for 12 weeks. The class does break for the holidays in December.
The focus of these adult trainings is on indoor rowing to improve personal fitness goals. This class is an excellent way to kick off those New Year Resolutions.
Topics that will be covered include: indoor rowing technique, use and care of the rowing machinge (ergometer or “erg”), whole body exercise, individual intensity and pace, goal setting and fitness development and how to continue training on the rowing ergometer.
