Have you ever seen more screwy winter weather for Lake Lanier?

If I get one more winter weather alert, I am going to flick a Cheeto at my dang smart phone.  As of 5 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, we have a Winter Weather Advisory, a Wind Chill Advisory, a Winter Storm Watch (with up to an entire INCH of snow possible) and other hazardous types of winter weather, including ice and black ice.

Yankees in Boston are so freaked out about the weather that they’re jumping out of their windows — into snowbanks.  Now, Boston’s mayor is saying Cut it out, knuckleheads!

The forecast should simply include the number of days until spring, which right now is 28 days and change away.  That way we wouldn’t have to hear about high temperatures in the 40s every day until March.

Did you lose power?  Did you ever get power back?

Sleeping was weird Monday night, wasn’t it?  I heard tree limbs crackling all night long and a few thumps from a few that landed too close for comfort.

When I awoke all was well.  And icy.

Yes, it’s pretty.  But dangerous.

Many accidents were reported on roads all over North Georgia.  Black ice was blamed for many … but operator error was common too.

Like Boston, more snow and freezing temperatures are on the way.

Although we will be spared what they’re enduring in New England and in many parts of the Midwest.

Every time they dig their cars out in Massachusetts more snow falls.  More in February alone than in Buffalo for the average entire winter.

At least one swing set will be all washed off by the time spring, or maybe summer, finally arrives.

Daylight Saving Time starts in a couple of weeks.  I saw a robin in my yard this week.  It was easy to see on the snow.

No doubt, we’ll be back fishing, running, water skiing, riding motorcycles and bikes and picnicking outdoors in less than a month.

Think warm thoughts.  Plan your spring vacation.

And please check on your neighbors.

Seriously.  You’re not going to believe this.

My phone just dinged.  Yup, another weather alert.

Hall County Schools are closing for Thursday, February 19, 2015.

Oh, boy!  The kids home from school another day!  Yippee!  Bet you’re glad it’ll be too cold to play outside.

Try not to jump out a window into the snow, please.
