We would all prefer a world that has no need for cancer treatment centers, children’s hospitals or rape crisis agencies.
Rape Response, Inc. provides crucial services to residents of Dawson, White, Habersham, Hall, and Lumpkin Counties.
The advocacy of Rape Response includes crisis response and intervention. Victims are offered safety planning and support with emotional, medical and legal issues.
From September 2011 through October 2012, Rape Response responded to 375 crisis calls. Volunteers met with victims in emergency rooms 58 times. More than 1500 individualized services were provided during crisis intervention, advocacy and follow-up for 246 survivors, their families and friends.
