Firearms Seminar

glock 17

My friend’s house was broken into over the weekend.  They weren’t home at the time, but what if they were?

A friend’s parents were home when their house was robbed.  The homeowners were armed.  The robbers took their gun from them during the robbery.

Just having a gun doesn’t solve anything.  If you own a firearm, please learn how and when to use it.

The Gwinnett County Police Department will host a free Firearms Safety Seminar on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center auditorium located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.

Personnel from the Gwinnett Police Academy will cover several topics of concern:

  • Georgia gun carry laws
  • “deadly force” laws
  • how to obtain a carry permit
  • personal defense and
  • types of weapons and their use.

Please Note

  1. Pre-registration is not required, however seating is limited, so please arrive early.
  2. Please do not bring firearms to this event.  Attendees will pass through a security checkpoint and will not be permitted to bring firearms into the building.
