Our friends at the Lake Lanier Convention & Visitors Bureau informed lakelanier.com that Arnold “I’ll be back!” Schwarzenegger is filming his next movie on the shores of Lake Lanier.
No, they don’t want us to co-star. I think they’re only letting us know so we won’t call every law enforcement agency in our region to report a small war being waged on our placid waters. After all these years of dealing with Cocktail Cove parties, what’s the big deal with rockets, bombs and automatic gunfire? At least it won’t be happening at 3 AM.
This upcoming “action-packed blockbuster” is about an elite team of Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) officers who raid a drug cartel’s lakefront safe-house. (I know what you’re thinking. You wish you had them at your command the last time your wacko neighbors had a drunken open house, right?)
The movie’s title is “Ten.” It’s expected to have a nationwide theatrical release in 2013. Co-stars include:
- Sam Worthington (Avatar)
- Malin Akerman (Watchmen)
- Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike)
- Terrance Howard (Ironman) and
- Josh Holloway (Lost).
If you’re like me and you’ve never heard of these actors, you’ll be happy to know Malin Akerman is quite the babe … in case you were worried the only thing worth watching was explosions and Arnold’s former muscles.
