GRAND-AM Racing at Road Atlanta

Road Atlanta makes history the weekend of April 19+20, 2013, when they host the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series for the very first time.

You don’t have to know a Porsche from a poodle to have a good time … because of where you’ll be and who you’ll see on the track and off.

It’s like a rock concert with cars zooming by you at a zillion miles an hour.

Nobody cares which car you choose to win.  Pick the red one because it matches your nails or the white one because its Dailey dry sump oil system copes well with the high G-forces of its Pratt & Miller chassis.

The GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series is famous for:

  • close competition
  • daring pit strategies
  • door-to-door three-wide road racing and
  • wild finishes.

If that doesn’t boil your blood, park your RV at the track and enjoy the party.  This is racing … American style.

So far in 2013 there have been three races — each won by a different team in the Daytona Prototype (DP) and Grand Touring (GT) classes.

Road Atlanta is one of the world’s most fan-friendly racing facilities, with an open paddock and grid, and a driver autograph session.

Kids 12 and under are always admitted free at Road Atlanta!  They’ll love you forever for taking them.

OK.  That’s a lie.  They’ll probably hate you, as all kids do for a season, but you’ll have fun anyway and you’ll have ammo for your next battle when they say you only want to ruin their lives by making them eat dinner with the family once a week.

Road Atlanta isn’t far from Lake Lanier and is easily accessed from I-85, I-985 and Route 53 — aka Winder Highway.
