When does summer officially begin? Forget Saturday, June 21st. If you ask our friends at Lake Lanier Islands, it’ll be summertime, summertime — sum, sum — summertime as of Saturday, May 17th, when LanierWorld opens for the 2014 season.
Forget going to beaches in Florida, where the humidity is always a bazillion percent. We have LanierWorld right here on Lake Lanier, where the weather is always perfect! (Some restrictions apply.)
The Family Fun Park at LanierWorld will heat up summertime with its cool waterpark. WildWaves is a tremendous adventure and all it requires is for you to hop into a tube and ride out the waves that are designed for young and old.
Remember drive-in movies? Floating into Hollywood at Dive-In Movie Night is even better, although necking is a bit of a problem and keeping your popcorn dry is tough. They’ll be showing family-friendly flicks on a 200-foot outdoor movie screen that you can see right from the pool at WildWaves!
And there’s so much more. If you don’t want to get wet, you can always knock a ball around manicured fields at Lake Lanier Islands. That sounds like fun! (If you’re old and have a penchant for bright colored clothes.)
