2016 Taste of Gainesville Gets Better with Craft Beer and Wine

Local food, outside dining, lake views, low cost, Saturday night – a Taste of Gainesville is an annual event not to be missed.  New to 2016, a Taste of Gainesville improves with the addition of a Craft Beer and Wine Festival.  If you thought Taste of Gainesville couldn’t get better, it does.

The 17th annual Taste of Gainesville takes place this Saturday, September 24th from 6-9pm at Lake Lanier Olympic Park.  Attendees will join over 500 others for a relaxing evening on the lake tasting samples from over 20 local restaurants.

Local Brewery Offers Tasting at Taste of Gainesville

This year, in addition to sampling the local food specialities, you’ll also have the opportunity to taste local craft beer.  Left Nut Brewery of Gainesville will be there offering their local brews for purchase through Gainesville Square’s Downtown Drafts.

Sample Local Wine at Taste of Gainesville

This year attendees of a Taste of Gainesville will also see the expansion of local wine to the menu.  Patrons will be able to purchase a separate wine tasting ticket and will be able to try wines from local wineries and Gainesville’s Vine and Cheese shop.

The wineries participating in the 2016 Taste of Gainesville include:  Three Sisters Vineyards and Winery, Dahlonega Tasting Room, Habersham Winery, Montaluce Winery and Estates and Sweet Acre Farms.

Purchase Tickets and Support Lake Lanier Rowing Club Junior Crew

You can pre-purchase tickets via the Lake Lanier Rowing Club website.  The food event costs $25 in advance or $35 at the door.  Children 10 and under are free.  Wine tasting tickets cost $25, and if purchased in advance, include 12 wine samples plus a souvenir glass.  Wine tickets purchased at the door include 8 samples plus a souvenir glass.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Lake Lanier Rowing Club Junior Crew.
