What’s the first thing you think of when you read the words, “Adult Prom”? Â Yeah, well, that’s not what this Adult Prom, hosted by our friends at Downtown Drafts in Gainesville, will be about.
We were all too stupid to enjoy proms back when we were young. Â Now that we’ve grown up — or at least gotten older — we have a chance to do it right!
So, put on your top hat, zip up that glitzy evening gown, slip into a pair of insanely high heels and head to Gainesville’s Square on Saturday night, July 16, 2016.
It’s a formal block party for grown-ups! Â Do your hair, nails, toes or buy a new nose. Â Dress up any way you’d like (almost) and give the babysitter an extra $20 because you might get home late from the Gainesville Adult Prom.
They’re making it easy to primp, with hair salon specials, deals on flowers, tuxedos and dinner. Â Don’t worry about coming if you don’t have a date. Â Find your own at the prom. Â Maybe drive in two cars and pretend you’re meeting your spouse for the first time?
